Will your transponder work in 2013?

   If you purchased a transponder at any motocross race in 2012 your transponder will need to be reactivated for it to work in the upcoming 2013 racing season.

   All MYLAPS flex transponders have an expiration date. If you purchased your transponder from the MYLAPS site directly you choose how long your transponder would remain active. If you purchased it at the track it expires December 31st of that year. Flex transponders are easily identified by a white bottom. Classic transponders with a black bottom never expire. You can tell if your flex transponder is activated by how fast the light blinks. An active transponder will blink once per second during charging and when off the charger displaying the life of the battery. A transponder that’s activation is expired will blink red twice per second on or off the charger.

To reactivate your transponder:

   First go to this link and follow the steps to purchase credits to reactivate your transponder. You can do 1, 2, or 5 year increments. Be sure to enter the correct transponder number and complete the payment process.

  Next download and install the flex manager software at this link. You will need the option on the left for motorized transponders. Once this software is installed run it and put the transponder in the charger and connect the charger to your computer with a USB cable. The software will tell you when your transponder expires and allow you to click the activate button to apply the credits your purchased to your transponder. This software is also handy for telling you exactly how much charge you have left in your transponder.

  You do not have to wait for your transponder to expire to add more time to it. You can follow these steps to add time to it at any point.
